Stunning 6 bedrooms fully air conditioned villa with heated outdoor pool, near the beach, situated within the village of Manta Rota, 12km from Tavira and 12km from Vila Real de Santo Antonio. Close to all amenities and only five minutes walk from the superb sandy beach. The villa is within a few minutes drive of five superb golf courses, including the new Jack Nicklaus,Monte Rei course. The villa has a unique Spanish style 'hacienda' courtyard at the front of the house, a lovely terraced garden of vines and fruit trees, and a beautiful 8 by 4 metres outdoor pool, which is heated. The house has additional terrace areas with views over the village and towards the sea, and is luxuriously furnished throughout its six bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, large living room , together with a large kitchen/dining room. There is also a covered games area with pool table and darts and a table tennis table.

The swimming pool can be heated between 1 march and 20 november for aa cost of £100.

We bought Casa Betel in 2005, initially as the house for us to live in. As a result, the house has a very 'lived in' feel with our own pictures on the wall, a piano and other personal items. The East Algarve is wonderfully portuguese. It is a beautiful place to come at all times of the year. In summer it is very warm and almost always with blue skis and sunshine. The winters are also sunny and with temperatures during the day of 16 to 18 c it is extremely pleasant. Of course there are also far fewer people and is wonderfully calm and peaceful.

We live nearby and are on hand to assist in anything that you may require, from general information to recommendations of restaurants, and places to see and visit.

WHAT OTHER PEOPLE THOUGHT.

"Well what can I say? We were a family group of nine ranging from grandparents to a three year old. The villa was everything we could have wished for. We were very kindly allowed by the owners to go in earlier than the designated 4.00pm as cleaning had been completed. We all had fun choosing which bedrooms we were going to have. The downstairs suite with two bedrooms was absolutely ideal for the younger members of the family (especially the three year old) as everything was on the one level. All of the family had a wonderful time in the pool. We loved the BBQ facility. There were quite a few restaurants which we frequented, our favourite being the one on the beach which was amazing. As there were quite a few of us it was nice that we did not all have to eat in the same place in the evenings, sometimes some of us choosing to stay at the villa and enjoy the garden and BBQ. . The pool and table tennis tables were very popular with all of us. We would without hesitation stay here again either with a group of friends or with the extended family as on this occasion. "We stayed at Casa Betel for 8 days at the end of May/early June, for a family holiday to celebrate two milestone birthdays, a 16th and a 70th. We were 13 in all, myself, my two daughters, one son, two sons-in-law, my brother and sister-in law and 5 grandchildren aged from 22 to 2. The house was perfect for such a group, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, lots of space both inside and in the delightful gardens, and small child friendly. The rooms and gardens are all much more spacious than they appear in the photos. Everything was well set up and exceptionally well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, there was nothing more we could have asked for. Despite a few unseasonably cool and cloudy days, we had most of our evening meals off the barbecue in the garden. The children loved the pool and even a few of the adults braved the cold water for a plunge when the sun got hot! With two separate gardens we could take advantage of either a bit of shade or full sun at different times of the day, and find a quiet spot to read or be part of the noisy group as the mood took you. Manta Rota is a fairly quiet coastal holiday village, but we got everything we needed in the local shops, and had three enjoyable evening meals out in local restaurants. Both adults and children enjoyed either playing or taking some long breezy walks on the miles of sandy beaches and dunes. There is a small-holding near the house with poultry and some farm animals that one could hear if bedroom windows were open at night, but as most of my family are country folk it was never a problem. The booking process was straightforward and the owners very helpful when required but not intrusive. I cannot recommend Casa Betel more highly for a family holiday, it was truly fabulous." Joan T

"We have just returned from a wonderful holiday at casa betel. There were 4 adults and 6 children ranging from 3 - 8. The villa was well equipped for families and was very spacious. The swimming pool was definitely the highlight for the children and we had difficulty getting them out! The outside eating area was great and used for all our meals. The added bonus of the pool table, ping pong and darts allowed some fun competitions. The local town was a 5 minute walk away and had a reasonable selection of bars cafes and restaurants. The supermarket was well stocked and the local market had some fantastic fresh fruit and veg. The beach was beautiful but busy and we tended to walk down for an hour or so to collect shells and paddle. Overall we had a fantastic time. Thankyou" Jo C.
